College Responsibilities
Upon graduation, Coastal College of British Columbia (CCBC) will send your official transcript and ECEA course outline directly to the ECE Registry within 7 business days. These documents will be submitted electronically on your behalf to support your certification application.
Your Responsibilities
After completing your program, you are responsible for applying for your ECE Assistant (ECEA) certification through the equivalency process at My ECE Registry Portal.
My ECE Registry Portal:
https://myeceregistry.gov.bc.ca/login
Following graduation, you will also receive the following documents by email for your records:
- Digital Official Transcript
- Digital ECEA Course Outline
Students who require hard-copy versions of these documents may request them by completing the Packaging Request Form.
Fee for hard-copy documents: $25
Please follow all application instructions provided through the My ECE Registry Portal and ensure that all required information and supporting documentation have been submitted.
If you have questions regarding certification requirements, application status, or Registry procedures, you may contact the ECE Registry directly at eceregistry@gov.bc.ca or 1-888-338-6622.
Important Information
Once you have submitted your application through the My ECE Registry Portal, the transcript section of your application may temporarily display as "incomplete." This is normal and may occur while the ECE Registry processes documents received directly from educational institutions.
Please note that, due to privacy and confidentiality regulations, CCBC cannot contact the ECE Registry on a student's behalf regarding application status, certification decisions, or personal information. The ECE Registry can only discuss application details directly with the applicant.
Processing times are determined by the ECE Registry and may vary throughout the year. For the most current information regarding certification processing and application requirements, please refer to the My ECE Registry Portal or contact the ECE Registry directly.
